Acetamide was one of the most popular childhood books, a book that every child should have on their bookshelf. However, it is rare these days. The underlying principle of Acimide is that the best'' miracle" we can do for ourselves is the act of just taking a "aware of the presence of love" look at our own life through the eyes of Christ. Schucman claims that the book was dictated directly to her, word for word, through "inner voice" from Christ. This is the same "presence" that I talked about in my book The Inner Peace of God.
How does Christ give us this "presence" though? It's all in the teachings of the Bible, if you really bother to read those. It starts with the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Christ is raising up many spirits of people who have died and who are going to be punished in hell. Many people will go to heaven and some will stay on earth to share in Christ's glory. Christ is raising up these spirit bodies so that they may teach and instruct all the people that enter into his kingdom.
This "invisible body" or what I sometimes call an "acaternity," is actually a physical being that is a personified idea or representation of the spiritual realm. In the teachings of the Bible we find many messages about how Jesus Christ became such a high spiritual being. The criminal state of consciousness that Christ established through his life is also the same criminal state of consciousness that we experience in the ego world. We often refer to this world as "ego." In fact, it is this very ego which is responsible for all of the suffering and evil in the world.
People talk about the "power of will" when asked about miracles, but they really mean "mindpower." Jesus Christ used his mind and power to accomplish what most average human beings could not do. How much more possible could the average person to accomplish when they were living in an "academic" world where "academic legitimacy" seemed so elusive! I am not suggesting that Jesus Christ was a scholar in any sense of the word, but he did use his mind to make miracles happen. The same principles can be applied to "self-study" if one so chooses to follow Christ's footsteps.
